Installation Gauges

Only on initial installation can a gap gauge be used, this insures that the fitting has been pulled up sufficiently tight.

The gauge is placed in the gap between the nut and the body.

It is a “no go” gauge so if the gauge does not fit into the gap the nut is tight enough however if the gauge enters the gap you must tighten the nut more until the gauge will not enter the gap.
